What we’ve done since EAS 2024 in Dublin

During the academic year 2025–26, we have focused on consolidating and further developing the Vocal Development Framework. This included dedicating substantial time to bringing the different components of the model into a coherent structure, conducting an in-depth review of relevant literature, and refining the conceptual foundations. In particular, we worked on clarifying the cultural dimensions of vocal development and more precisely defining the framework of musical practice in which singing takes place.

In addition, we conducted a small-scale interview study with university lecturers and choir directors to explore the perceived relevance and applicability of the model in educational and choral contexts. The analysis of the data is currently still in progress.
